AWESOME ZONES

© Louise Luna 2013 ★

Hello, bombshells! How's your summer? Been seeing a lot of my friends going out of town and spending their quality time with family and relatives in awesome beaches and resorts around already. I feel so envy and awful for myself since all I can do to spend summer is to chill at the mall. I really would love to go swimming and go to province and hang-out with my cousins but sadly, I can't since I'm still busy with my school and whatnot.

Moving on, summer is getting extremely hot making our gorgeous manes get insanely dry, frizzy, and unmanageable especially when it gets exposed directly to the sun. So in order to fight away and combat those damaging effects of the sun, heat, and even the harsh effects of styling products such as flat iron, curlers, and blow-dryers, I recently bought Snoe Hair Heroes Intense UV + Thermal Barrier Shield from my all-time favorite brand, Snoe Beauty.

This is basically one of the best products I tried in their Hair Heroes line because it's reasonably priced and boasts with such amazing benefits to hydrate and nourish the hair that works perfectly for this summer season! It has 3 major ingredients:

  • Argan Oil - Also known as the Moroccan Liquid Gold. It prevents split-ends. Restores damaged hair and provides a remarkable shine to dull hair. Furthermore, Argan oil is known for its powers in fighting free radicals. Naturally, Argan oil contains Vitamin E that helps in balancing the natural moisture of your hair. It also protects the hair from the damaging effects of styling tools and chemical treatments. You can also go here to read more information about the uh-mazing Argan oil!
  • Moringa Extract - Protects hair against environmental stress caused by pollution. Moringa oil is a popular natural supplement to increase the health and strength of the hair and scalp. It can be massaged into the hair and scalp and allowed to remain there for several minutes, delivering rejuvenating vitamins and minerals to the follicles of the hair and tissue of the scalp. Regular massage with this oil can help reduce split ends and dandruff. See? Pure awesomeness! ❤
  • UV Protection - Another awesome thing about this product is that it has UV protection which means, you ain't gonna cry no more 'cause this product will do the job even if you'll get exposed to the intense heat of the sun! Protection of hair keratin quality after UV radiation is also increased by up to 64% as what's stated in the bottle.

And of course, the closer look of the product. Front and back. You can see it's only 50 ml.

The Verdict: 9/10

I'm in full adoration of this product! The moment I saw and smelled it, I suddenly felt in love. It smells exactly like it's mother, the 5-in-1 Intense Argan Oil Cleansing Conditioner which I'll be making a review soon! So keep posted. Hihi. The scent of this is creamy, buttery and coconutty. Yummy, right? It's so unique and amazing. I can't really get enough of it!

This product comes in a 50 ml pump bottle for only Php 249.00. It's rich and creamy consistency makes it easier for me to apply on my hair. 3 to 4 pumps would be enough and that could last all day. I start from the top then focus on my tips. I comb or brush it after so that the product will be distributed evenly. The result? Soft, smooth, and shiny hair! My hair feels lighter, healthier, and with added bounce. ❤

I think this could last by up to 2 months depending on the amount of product you put on your hair. A little goes a long way with this powerful bottle. Just use it wisely. You can use it before and after swimming! See, it's definitely great for summer!

Dislikes: I don't know but I would love to give this thing a perfect 10 only if it's bigger. Like a 100 ml? Haha. Well maybe the goal of Snoe is to make it more like travel bag friendly and easy to carry anytime. Also, I noticed that the cap removes a bit easily. So I hope that Snoe would have a more fixed and tighter cap soon. I'm just worried that this precious liquid gold would spill in my bag!

All in all, Snoe Hair Heroes Intense UV + Thermal Barrier Shield is truly amazing! I definitely recommend this to everyone who likes to give their locks a healthy, cool treat on this scorching hot weather. Works well with colored hair too and is surely safe to be used everyday!

Blog Revamped

Hi, guys! As you can see, I'm back to blogging again. Yes, after a very long time of hiatus, I have finally decided and become inspired to revive this blog and share new stuffs for you. I've been so bad and busy that I have forgotten my long-time favorite hobby which is blogging! I always love posting and sharing stuffs online! Now, I'm on the lookout for great blogs to follow. I want to have my personal "blog-mates" where I can visit from time to time and share each others' thoughts.

From now on, this blog shall be the room for my product reviews. It could be a make-up, hair care, skin care, body care, or any type of product that I feel like worth sharing. I'll make sure to post something every week. Including the happenings in my life. And if I have lots of free time, hopefully I'll be able to post stuffs as well.

Just before this post, you'll notice my very first product review from Snoe Beauty. The moment I saw them online, I suddenly felt the urge to take a visit in their stores around Manila because it's proudly Philippine made. Luckily, I found the Sta. Lucia East Grandmall branch which is nearest to my area.

As of now, I have lots of products to be reviewed from Snoe. Particularly from Hair Heroes. I also purchased their Snoe White soap in No. 3, 2 pink sunblocks, 3 body spritz, the famous Star Night Star Bright toner, the Emutox serum, and a body glaze. Yay! So excited to make a review of them all. I want to stick to this brand because I believe their products are really amazing! They smell so good and meets my standard when it comes to beauty products.

And no, I didn't get them for free. I really spend my money just to buy and collect their products especially their hair care range. I just love my hair so much that I'm willing to spend my every penny for it. Ha ha. I'm so obsessed with their shampoos, conditioners, and treatments! It really works for me and they all smell so great! Definitely a summer must-have!

On the other hand, I'd also like to make this blog a place for my travels. Since I'm taking up Tourism Management, I always love to go to a lot of places. I love to explore places either with friends, family, and even alone. It could be restaurants, malls, bars, clubs, tourist spots, amazing destinations, or simply a cute milk tea station. Actually, anywhere. Ha ha. For as long as I find it worth posting. Hi hi.

Random blog photo post. Just because we watched it in HD earlier. Hi hi.

So that's it for now, I hope I'll be able to gain more friends here and share my thoughts and random stuffs that I like with you. I'd like to make this a happy, stress-free blog! I wish to stand with what I've said for this post! Ho ho. God is good!

Any thoughts? Ask or comment away, I don't bite! ❤

Good day, bombshells! Today I'm gonna make a review about my new favorite product from Snoe Cosmetics. It's called Poudre Extraordinaire Loose Finishing Skincare Powder Medium Coverage Formula with SPF 30++.

First off, the pricing is great! However, this is so far the most expensive product that I have ever bought from them. It costs P799 for 35g which is absolutely not bad.

Front and back of Poudre Extraordinaire. Look at those cool designs! Hi hi.

The shade that I have chosen is the Perfect Beige because I think the name itself suits very well with my skin. Haha. Just kidding. I don't know but the term Perfect Beige made me want to buy it although it's a medium shade which is 1 or 2 shades darker from my real skin tone.

So, what's in the box? The box contains all the necessary information that you need to know including it's ingredients, usage, and caution. Under it, you can also see their hotlines, contact numbers, e-mail address, Twitter account, Facebook page, and a logo: Proudly Philippine Made.

Isn't that cool? Hi hi. It also has this furry puff which is so cute and fluffy!

After you remove it, the scent of the powder will linger in your nose but isn't overpowering. I really love the smell! It's like a sweet, homemade cupcake! Yummy! Ahhhh ~ So good!

Moving on, this loose finishing powder is very very convincing. The packaging is amazing. It looks sophisticated.

The powder smells so good! Yes, smell is a big deal for me! Haha. Also, it contains the rare Acai Berry which is really awesome. I have read that this fruit contains the highest level of antioxidants.

Therefore, it'll protect and improve your skin! It has a medium coverage formula so it feels light on the skin. Plus, this product has SPF 30++ so you don't have to worry about the sun!

Ingredients:

The Verdict: 10/10

I really like this product because it sets my make-up and keeps oil at bay for like almost a day. I use the puff and apply it lightly on my face and neck in pat-rolling motions then use my favorite make-up brush to blend it and remove the excess powder.

It feels so good in my skin because it blends perfectly making it smooth and glowing.

I call it the Power Powder because it's a type of make-up that takes good care of your skin with it's powerful ingredients. It protects, tightens, smooths, and softens. It's not written in the box but in my opinion, it has a matte effect, evens out my skin, and minimizes the appearance of pores which I totally love!

Before and After in my hands. No filter. Photos with my face soon. Hi hi.
Top photo: Before application. Below photo: After application. Amazing!

It is also allergy and dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic, refreshing, not heavy on the face, and everything that's awesome! I'm in love with it and I would definitely recommend it to everyone! If you're looking for a finishing powder with a medium coverage, SPF, and a great matte finish, then you'll never go wrong with Snoe Poudre Extraordinaire. You can even use it alone! Best for people with clear skin!

P.S. I noticed that inside this product, you can see it has tapes on it. Left and right.

Yes, I pay so much attention to details whenever I buy something because I'm a keen observer like that. Ha ha. The reason is for it to never spill even if you shake or carry it anywhere and while inside your make-up kit or bag. Isn't that great? Gosh, why do you have to so awesome, Snoe? ❤

It's Been A While.

Hello, Blog-spot! I have not updated you for a very long time. My life has been preoccupied with a lot of things. You know, I'm focused with my studies right now. And life has been really challenging and kinda stressful for me.

Anyways, this 2012, I hope to be with you and share with you tons of stuffs that is happening and will be happening in my life. I want everything to be documented. Yes, documented. Just like your important files, I want this blog to serve as my storage box, a personal journal, and a breathing room for almost everything I want to express. I hope I won't fail this time and that I'll have the conviction to stay true and be loyal on posting my daily experiences in this blog.

From now on, this will be a blog for everyone to see. I might crack jokes, rant about someone, share some stuffs, or randomly write something just because I want to. I promise to stay honest with everything that I will write on this blog, be myself, and not to worry about what other people would think or say about me. Oh, Blog! I missed you. We're back on each others' arms again. Hihi.

Moving on, it's already 4:00 am on my clock and I guess I should be sleeping now. I still have to do a lot of things later. Gotta finish all my home works, projects, and everything related to school. And I must plan, plan, plan! Then act! God is with me, yes? Kbye! :*

A Fresher 2012.

I'm really glad knowing that this sem, hindi pa 'ko pumaparty and I had lesser time to drink. I feel like a new person. Focus lang sa school. You see, I only go with people na alam kong parehas kaming may mga pangarap sa buhay at pinahahalagahan ang dapat pahalagahan sa mundo just like my family and friends. It's alright kahit 'di ganun karami ang friends, at least, they're true and reliable. Not those na maasahan mo lang sa inuman o kalandian.

I'm so happy with my life right now and with the people around me. Mas lalo pa akong naging malapit kay God and learned the value of family, education, love for yourself and for your friends - real friends.

I love mistakes and I embrace mistakes because I learn from them. So, as my advice, surround yourself with people smarter than you. Kasi, you can learn from them. Wag dun sa mga puro gimik, galaan, pagkakagastusan ang alam. Dapat yung may sense at worth it sa oras mo.

Maging wise na tayo. 2012 na! Let's start a better life. Appreciate and seize every moment in your life. Don't be afraid to take risks. Don't be afraid to fail. And don't be afraid to try. Hindi naman tayo pababayaan ni God eh. If others can do it, kaya din natin yun.

Naranasan ko ng magkamali at ayoko ng maulit yun. Naranasan ko ng mawalan, masaktan, at mahirapan at ayoko ng mangyari pa ulit yun. Let's change for the better.

Right attitude + discipline lang. Be positive! Smile! Lalo na ngayon, it's more fun in the Philippines! ♥ Yun lang, makakatulog na 'ko ng maayos nito. Good night, babies!

Major Bad News!

Damn! I miss you, blog! Today, I'll share with you guys what this month has been doing for me. Sadly, I consider this month as the worst month for this year since a lot of bad things had happened to me which really tested my faith in God and trust in Him. So here it goes:

November 12, 2010 Friday; The day when I met my good friend, Dona to replace the lenses I bought on her. It was already 8 pm I think, when I finally arrived at the location for our meet-up. I got the new lenses and decided to go home right away. So while I was riding a bus heading to Cubao, an old man entered the bus and was selling dried mangoes. He was looking and acting weird that night. He also gave us a note telling that he's a missionary and he's doing that selling shit so he could help an organization which I can't remember the name anymore. So I was like, "Ah, sorry po. Wala po akong barya e. Pauwi na po ako. Pasensiya na po." He didn't stopped convincing me until I decided to vacate my seat and transfer to another one. I got scared when I saw him staring at me as if I did something wrong. I started to get more scared when he also transferred in a different seat, and that seat was right next to me like I was on the left, then the isle, then him. Isn't that scary? And not only that, I saw him through my peripheral vision that he's really staring at me like he looks every gestures I do, up and down. So I ignored him. Luckily, he was the one who got down the bus first. I prayed to God to please guide me and don't let any other human-being to do something against me.

Finally, I arrived Cubao. I walked till I reach the street where I usually ride the jeep going to my destination which is Sta. Lucia. While waiting, a woman, not-so-old, kinda dirty and was carrying a crying baby, stood beside me and talked to me. I was shocked and felt awful with the things that came out of her mouth. She said, "Uy, baka naman pwede mo kaming tulungan. She really tried to convince me to help her but I really don't know what to do. She also said that DSWD will only make their lives more miserable. Like,"Kakawawain lang kami dun. Paghihiwalayan kami ng anak ko tapos pahihirapan kami." I walked away and said," Pasensiya na talaga Ate ah. Di ko kayo matutulungan. Kawawa naman yung bata. Ingat po kayo, pauwi na rin ako e." She really didn't stop until I stayed afar from her. I really felt sorry for her and for the child. I wish I could do something about it. I also tried to share this story with my family and friends and they said, "Naku, buti lumayo ka. Sindikato yan." I don't know if I should really believe that but now I realized that there really is a possibility that it could be a crazy tactic of "Sindikato".

I was already standing in a pole with a light next to me, when someone bumped me behind and said, "Wag kang maingay, kundi babasagin ko mukha mo." It felt like a diabolic creature whispered my ear that made me shiver. He looks scary and my vision that time was still clear and I can see him looking so evil. He's a robber. He opened his bag and I saw a long, huge chain, perfume and some other stuffs then he said, "Subukan mong tumakbo, hahabulin kita at babasagin ko yang bungo mo. Akin na yung cellphone mo." I really can't scream or even say a single word that time. The feeling was really scary as if the two of you were the only person in that place and that you can't even run or move away to ask for help because your feet felt like it's glued on the ground. But I still I said, "Naku. Wala po akong cellphone e. Hindi ko po dala. Maawa po kayo sa akin." He replied, "Tigilan mo ko ah, wag kang umiyak kundi sasapakin kita. Asan na yung wallet mo? Akin na!" I took my wallet and I asked him to please let me go and I will give all the money that he wanted. I couldn't protect or even fight for myself that time because he's twice bigger than me like he's a wrestler. So he let me go away and I ran so fast. Luckily, I was able to ride a jeep going away from him that's fast and kinda full. Then I arrived Sta. Lucia safely but was still in shock. I took my phone inside my bag. Whew! I put my phone inside my bag which the robber didn't know. I took it out and called my sister and told her everything. She was really nervous that time and felt sad yet still thankful that I'm safe and that nothing worse happened to me. I arrived home in cold sweat and shaking. I immediately prayed and cried to God.

So yeah, there the tragic, unforgettable experience ends. I hope this would also serve as a lesson for you guys like I do. I also wish that this would never happen to you guys and learn to be vigilant on your surrounding whenever you're outside, especially at night where demons are playing. Keep safe, be more alert and careful and may God guide us all the time.

Stay fighting!

I was about to log-out and go to bed when I saw this photo on Tumblr that made me feel really good. It will now serve as a reminder for me to hold on and keep on fighting. I so need to see this every time! I got it on http://ackhun.tumblr.com. Thanks for doing this!

Anyways, I'm gonna be updating this blog more often since I have a lot of things to share and a lot of questions to answer. For those who have been asking about the products I use and the things I do to take care of my skin, I'll create a review on it soon. I'll also post my reviews about the circle lenses I use from time to time.

And oh, we have a duty in school tomorrow. I gotta sleep! So I guess that's basically what I need to say right now. Good night, people! Hugs! <3

Not so good vibes.

Sembreak is almost over and enrollment for the next semester has already started. I was so sad because I wasn't able to enroll due to a problem which I, myself couldn't explain. I was already sitting and about to get my schedule when an error occurred saying, "You must have to pay this balance blah... blah... blah... before enrolling." I was like, "Yeah, sure? Refresh it, Sir!". I didn't have a choice but to go out and solve this problem because a lot of students were also waiting outside the room to get enrolled. I went home without any improvements or something that I have accomplished for that day.

Until now, I'm not yet enrolled and still wondering how am I going to find a solution for this problem. I knew that money has always been our family's problem so I thought of applying for work. But I haven't fixed my papers yet needed for my resume. Well hopefully, I can get a good work soon which can help develop myself and become a more responsible person. I always wanted to help my family and buy the things that I need, and also the things that I want.

I'm just thankful to God that he's always right there beside whether I need him or not. I'm also thankful that God is giving me these challenges so I can become a stronger person. Lastly, before I end this post, I want everyone to know that if you believe in God, all the things that you need, want, and deserve will be given to you in God's perfect time.

Extreme!

Friday: I went to my friend's crib at North Olympus. I never knew that it would be hard for me to get there. It's raining. And while I was riding the last jeepney going to North Olympus, I got terrified about the guy in front of me because he's staring at me as if he’s going to eat me. He was also biting his lips and got his body almost lying on his seat. I really tried to ignore him but when I glanced around, I saw him really staring at me and he even licked his lips. What the fvck. Hoo-what's going on? I just felt safe after he went down.

Moving on, I remember when there was no more seats available, an old lady got on, but she didn't go down though it's already full. So what she did is sit on the floor. I felt really awful for her and because she's the one nearest to me, I offered her my seat and just hang on the jeepney for the first time in my life. I was confused because it seemed that everyone at the jeepney had only one expression. They were shocked. I just knew that the old lady had a mental problem and the driver had to shoo her away.
Anyway, here's the funny part. I was about to pay but instead of saying "Bayad nga po.", I said, "Pabili nga po." Ha ha. I know it's crazy! I guess I was really stressed that time. Lol!

I arrived there around 10:00 pm and had a late dinner. We chatted and didn't notice that it's already 1:00 am and we need to sleep for us wake up by 3:00 am so we can prepare for the ABS-CBN Studio Tour and to watch Pilipinas Win na Win.

Saturday: When I opened my eyes, I thought I slept or even took a nap. But I didn't, I was just closing my eyes. I was feeling all tired that time because I wasn't able to sleep. I guess my body is really not comfortable to sleep whenever the lights are totally off or when I sleep in another house.
Then I said to my friend to wake up. We prepared sandwiches for breakfast and had ourselves ready for the battle. Lol! We rode a jeepney going to Quezon Avenue and a tricycle going to ABS-CBN. We entered inside as if we’re familiar with the place. It was our first time! Ha ha. We kept on moving around and asking guards where is this place and that.

So the tour has started. We visited certain studios used in ASAP XV, TV Patrol, Goin' Bulilit, Umagang Kay Ganda, Rated K, MMK, and at some artists' dressing rooms. We saw Gary V., Jovit Baldivino, Erich Gonzales, and Empress Schuck as we walked along.

After that, we were allowed to take our lunch first so we won't be hungry inside the studio then oriented us for almost an hour about the rules, the do's and don'ts and many more. We then proceeded to the studio of Pilipinas Win na Win. The place is not that big unlike what we see on TV, really. We saw the the staffs, the crews, the dancers, the hosts and other guests as we waited for Showtime to finish.
K. The show has started. I tried to capture some photos, but I felt so bored and tired. I keep on yawning and my eyes were crying. Lol. The place is so cold that made us feel sleepy. I just waited for the show to end. My head was aching and my butt and back hurt. The experience wasn’t worth the pain. I won't watch Pilipinas Win na Win anymore.

So that's what happened to me last Friday and Saturday. Will upload tons of pics later.

I'm Back!

A big hello to everyone! It's been a long time since I last posted something about myself in this blog. And now I'm reviving this site just because it's our sem-break, meaning I'm not that busy with school shizz anymore. And! I miss blogging and sharing stuffs with people like you. Ho ho.

Kay-so, what are the things I did today?

I applied mayonnaise on my hair. Ha ha. Yes, I did. I heard that applying mayonnaise on your hair can really make it soft and shiny. I really am not familiar with this shit so I searched it on the Internet. And there it showed that mayonnaise is really a good stuff for hair, specially for damaged ones and it can also give that shine and the softness you've always wanted. And because I was bored, I tried it. I left it covered with a shower cap and let it stay there while I take a short nap. I guess it would be the last time I'm doing it since I had a hard time rinsing it off cuz the smell of mayonnaise is kinda intense. However, the result was great! It'll really make your hair soft, smooth, and shiny. You just have to shampoo and rinse your hair thoroughly to wash away the unpleasant scent.

After doing the mayonnaise thingy and took a nap, I went directly to the bathroom and took a refreshing bath. By the way, follow me on Twitter for updates! http://twitter.com/HeyAstro

Thanks! That's all for now. I'll create another post later.
